Create a composition to best compliment Richard Austin’s Bell Typeface. The requirements were to include the lower and upper case of every letter, every number, the name of the designer, the date it was created, and the name of the typeface.
I wanted to use the most interesting letter or symbol as the center piece for this project, and seeing as how the Bell typeface was created for the British Letter Foundry, I decided the symbol for the British pound was the most appropriate. And to match the typeface’s elegance, I went with a soothing color palette of greens and muted yellows. The name of the typeface, Bell, was set to a deep maroon so that it would stand out against the green background.
